The Anti-Sleeping Pill

While I was at Target yesterday, I felt like I would probably have a migraine by the end of the day (the tip off: vision changes & a general "fuzzy" feeling). I should have listened to my ever-so-smart-and-caring husband and just taken some of this stuff at 4pm as a "preemptive strike" but I was being my stubborn self and wanted to wait until I was actually hurting. Well, that didn't happen until about 7:15. One of these days I might learn that the amount of caffeine in this stuff is enough to keep me awake for days. I always forget. So, last night, I was up until after 1am. Today should be fun.

The kicker? This is the only remedy that has a 100% effectiveness rate (bless you sweet, sweet excedrin). So if I want my migraine gone asap, and for good, this is my go-to fix. I prefer to wait them out instead of taking pills but Brent can only massage my head for so long and sometimes sleep only postpones them and yesterday, I didn't want to deal with either of those, I just wanted it gone.

I always vote for the pre-emptive strike, I am a little bit of the a pill popper, and I love exedrin it really is the only thing that can kick a migraine. I am sorry you were up late but you are right sometimes sleep just gives it time to get worse then you wake at 7 with the migraine times 10. I feel you on this one.

I swear there were a few years I was an excedrin junkie. I had to get off them when I was prego with Tyler. But they really do kick a headache's butt.

Have fun in AZ by the way. And enjoy Twilight if you start it.

Hey, I've been lurking on your blog for a while.
I get horrible migraines and I NEVER knew about this stuff. I usually pop 4 tylenol, throw up and try to lay in a dark room with a cold rag on my head. I think being awake on a caffeine buzz sounds a little bit better.
