Silence

Our upstairs neighbors moved out a few days ago and I just realized tonight that the reason something "feels" different the past few days is because we don't hear people walking around, opening/shutting doors and drawers and windows, running the garbage disposal and dishwasher or just plain talking or watching tv. It's not that they were particularly loud (most of the time) it's just nice to not have constant noise above our heads. I am not kidding you, at least 4 days a week, they would decide it was time to get ready for bed right after we had turned off the light and were settling in. I never complained to them because dealing with other peoples' noise is just part of living in apartments. But I am very thankful that, for a few weeks while we are getting the apartment ready for new tenants, we get our little corner of the building to ourselves.

Man, I can't wait to have a house...

*Brent would like to add that his favorite part of the people being gone is that he can turn the volume up on the tv and we were hammering nails into the wall at 11pm.*

Ugh... I wish my upstairs neighbor would move out (even though he is a totally nice guy). Let's just say he is not light footed. And he has a totally annoying, squeaky rocking chair or something up there. Hope you get yourselves someone good!
